Have you ever wondered why Chess is the only game that seems to be the most logical among all? Why is it that the game requires the effort of that one person to struggle through, to make it to the end? Today the bits and pieces have fallen in place ultimately solving this mystery, for me.
What if chessmen were real? What if the chessmen belonged to the species - Homosapeins?- Well it would be just one of us. Each chess piece has its uniqueness and value just like any of us with a talent and quality, that defines who we are. The pieces would be a part of the society and its powerplay that we as humans experience everyday. Its when the game begins that each piece believes that it knows its purpose, its strategies and its final goal. It moves across the battlefield proving its worth and might not knowing that sometime soon its going to have to sacrifice its life for the battle to be won. It doesnt seem to take time, stop and think and enjoy the camaraderie within the army. Its conditioned to believe that it has a purpose and the better straegies it makes, the better are its chances of survival. Its all a competition where there seems to be no time to enjoy the person one is and the value that one radiates. Their might be instances when the pieces believe that their move wasnt the best which was at the cost of their lives or their success in the game. The turmoils turnout to be the best teacher to stregthen up themselves. But at the end of the game, it all comes down to existence and security. The meaning of relationships, acquaintances and the sense of being one is lost in the process of strategizing and heading the powerplay. The chessmen begin to believe that they are the tough intelligent gladiators who have made it through and have got it all figured out. Well afterall, life is about living the myth of one being that gladiator and experiencing the illusionary!
So the next time you say 'checkmate' and realise that you've won the battle, you've done nothing but simulate the reality of your life. Do remember your just a similar piece on another chessboard being played by the ultimate gladiator who actually has it all figured out. Your just another chess piece he would keep or sacrifice to play his game. The sad part being that your just the part of one game out of the millions of games that the he has played.
Good one for a start. Keep writing and improvement shouldn't be too far.
